FORT MILL – A 42-year-old Rock Hill man was killed Monday night while sitting in a car in a Fort Mill driveway, South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

Troopers report that the incident happened around 6:30 p.m.

According to troopers, the victim was parked in the driveway of the Loving Group Landscaping Company when two vehicles traveling north on Harrisburg Road lost control of their vehicles and ran off the road, with one of the vehicle's slamming into the victim's car.

Hector Figueroa of Charlotte was driving the car that crashed into the victim's car, investigators said. The other car reportedly corrected itself without hitting the victim’s car before driving off.

According to SCHP, the victim, whose name has not yet been released by the Lancaster County coroner, was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville where he was pronounced dead.

Figueroa was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash, SCHP said.

A description of the third vehicle is not available and troopers have not said if there will be any charges.
