Smokey haze over Charlotte from a controlled burn | News
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Dozens of people called into the WBTV newsroom Sunday, curious about the smokey haze in the sky.
York County officials confirmed federal officials were taking part in a controlled burn on federal property just outside the WBTV viewing area, in Union County, South Carolina.
The wind blew the smoke from that controlled burn toward the Charlotte area.
