New Walmart expected to bring 350 new jobs | Business

LAKE WYLIE - Walmart is hiring approximately 350 associates to work at the new Walmart slated to open this fall in Lake Wylie.

To facilitate applications, the retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 252 Latitude Lane, Suite 101 in the Lake Wylie Business Centre.

The hiring center began accepting applications Tuesday, July 6 and will continue accepting applications from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

According to store manager Russell Sinclair, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.

“We are excited to add this Walmart to Lake Wylie and bring good jobs with career opportunities to the area,” he said.

Walmart benefits – available to eligible full- and part-time associates – include healthcare insurance with no lifetime maximum.

Walmart also offers a 401(k) plan and profit sharing contributions, whether an eligible associate contributes or not, store discount cards, stock purchase program and life insurance.

Additionally, associates are eligible for company performance-based bonuses.

The majority of associates will begin work in August to help prepare the store for its grand opening in the fall.
