Dates Announced for 5th Annual 3-Day Music Festival

MUSIC ON THE MOUNTAINTOP ANNOUNCES DATES FOR 5TH ANNUAL 3-DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL IN BOONE, NORTH CAROLINA AUGUST 24-26, 2012

Partnership with Railroad Earth To Bring Added Creative To Festival

Music On the Mountaintop, the annual music festival outside Boone, North Carolina has announced that the eclectic festival will return this August 24-26, 2012 as Railroad Earth's Music on the Mountaintop. Celebrating its fifth year, Music on the Mountaintop is expanding to include three full days of music, including two nights of Railroad Earth and other special events on Sunday with the band. Having played the previous two Music on the Mountaintop festivals the Americana-based band will be taking on a bigger role, helping to curate the lineup for 2012. More artists and festival details will be announced in the coming weeks.

YORK COUNTY - The Arts Council of York County is a non-profit organization committed to creating and supporting a thriving arts community in York County. We are currently looking for artists interested in presenting their work in our Dalton Gallery, a professional gallery appropriated for the exhibition of experienced artists and community projects.

The gallery space is a 1,800-square-foot space and illuminated by adjustable track lighting.

Each year, ACYC presents eight exhibitions. If you would like your proposal to be considered for one of our 2013 gallery exhibitions, please submit the following to Mike Gentry:

The 2012 Arts Council Gala – a one-time unique opportunity to celebrate the arts

ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - “Artsy Affair,”  a festive black-tie optional celebration of the arts has a NEW look at a NEW location!  This unique, one-time only arts experience will be held Saturday, March 3, 7-11 p.m. in a newly vacated area of The Cotton Factory.  Legends of Beach will appear on the ground floor of the facility as the Leslie Thompson Jazz Trio entertains in the upstairs lounge. The Arts Council took advantage of this one-time opportunity to host their annual gala in a historic building with unmatchable charm and atmosphere. Shortly after the gala, Williams & Fudge plans to expand their local business at 300 Chatham Avenue. For one night only,

 

The Cotton Factory, a beautifully renovated historic landmark will be transformed into a black-tie setting with all the charm and mystery of days gone by.

Mardi Gras Celebration in Old Town Rock Hill brings Grammy-winning artist

ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) - A taste of New Orleans comes to Old Town Rock Hill in February with a first-ever Mardi Gras Celebration, featuring Grammy-winning Zydeco artist Terrance Simien & the Zydeco Experience.  The festivities kick off with a Zydeco concert on Saturday, February 18, and culminate with a Fat Tuesday celebration on Tuesday, February 21.
